It's testing time...but here are some resources to integrate a variety of curricular areas!

Introducing Inspire Curiosity in the Outdoors

Explore the Blues has creates many resources that are FREE!!! There are lesson plans, videos, maps, and interactive activities. Here are a few of their resources:

  • Keep It Clean! - Students learn about why organisms need a clean environment. Grades K-2.
  • Let's go Boating! - Students write about boating activities. Grades K-2.
  • Fish Food - Students learn about the role plants play in aquatic food webs. Grades 3-5.
  • Sizing up a Fish - Students approximate the surface area and volume of fish. Grades 3-5.
  • Adapt to Survive - Students learn about the ways in which plants and animals have adapted to survive in their environments. Grades 6-8.
  • Maintain to Sustain - Students learn about the importance of managing levels of fishing to ensure the sustainability of fish species. Grades 6-8.

Also, Discovery Education introduced a free trial (until the end of the school year) of an online collaborative textbook. There are teacher plans, interactive texts (with lexile levels), engaging and interactive videos, animations, activities, virtual labs, an interactive glossary, and much more!
